The vacuum fluorescent display will dim with time ( and these radios are all
20+ years old ), especially if the DIM switch wasn't used. You can see that
some segments are brighter than others giving the overall impression that
everything's dimming. Time to change the VFD. They're still available. Easy
to change, but not so easy on the wallet. 73.
