Hey thanks to all who responded to my posting. Turns out the power xfmr that supplies fils to the crt is open frame. It was rather easy to add another turn around the core and series that with the existing filaments. It did brighten the display ,although, not a lot. A limited success, but a welcome one. 73, Ron.
