[Kenwood] TH-F6 Connectivity help needed

It may be that the USB/Serial adapter is not allowing the program to work.
I've had the same problem with two different USB/Serial adapters and the F6,
but the same Kenwood cable works fine when connected directly to serial.
I've also heard others say it's a problem with other Kenwood radios (i.e.
TM-D700A). If you have access to a serial port you might want to try that
just to make sure the interface cable (sans USB adapter) is working
properly.

Subject: [Kenwood] TH-F6 Connectivity help needed

I am having some problem running the kenwood programming program.

I downloaded the software, Purchased the USB to serial adapter and
configured that adapter for com1

I set the MCP software to com1.

In addition I set the port settings to com1, BPS to 9600, DB - 8, P -
none, and FC - Xon/Xoff.

My problem is I still get the time out error message.

Has anyone had the same problem?
