[Kenwood] TS-930 with Heil Pro-Set

an estate and came with the 8-pin plug. It does everything it is
supposed to but the rig does not get enough audio drive from it
compared to the MC-80. I can crank the mic gain up all the way on the
rig and it does not even show any ALC.

         I've used Heil HC-4s with my 930 since the 80's.  That
element in either the BM-10 or Pro-Set should drive the socks
off the 930.

Oh, it comes with the HC-4 which of course does not have the low
response of the MC-80.

         I wonder if your HC-4 element could be bad?  Does it
work OK in another rig?  If bad, replacements are available
from Heil
