[Kenwood] working low power - TS440

If you look on www.mods.dk there is a mod to allow one of the knobs to act 
as a power output on the 440.

Its been soo long since I have been on my 440 I can't recall the rest of the 
info.

I would like to use my TS-440 low power SSB - max 20-25w. Can I make any
modification to use low power? Reducing the carrier knob is good for FM
and CW but not SSB.
