[Kenwood] TV-506 Cable

Hi Bill -

Welcome to the "tranverter without a cable" club!

There was a thread about this recently on the Yahoo TS-520 820 530 830
group. The only place known to sell these cables is in Japan:
http://www.toyama-smenet.or.jp/~tmt/page1c.htm
<http://www.toyama-smenet.or.jp/%7Etmt/page1c.htm>

They run about $60 bucks, without shipping, and the company does NOT
take orders outside of Japan. I can't remember a cable ever offered
for sale on these lists, and I have a TV-502 waiting for one. If you
could find a ham in Japan to get one for you, I'd guess the total cost
to get one into the USA would be about $80 to $100.

I haven't taken the time yet to start looking for alternatives, but one
idea is to find a commonly available substitute connector for the
transverter and rig. Ideally, it would fit the hole so there's minimal
metalwork involved. That's not, however, a trivial project.

If you, (or anyone else) can solve this problem, there will be a lot of
grateful hams out there.
