Jim,
That is a frequent problem. Fixed mine with no test equipment (shame
on me) but is very tricky. You must adjust a couple screws in the dial
circuit (main encoder unit) but let me warn you, you can really mess
it up if not careful. As I recall it is VR1 and VR2 that adjust the
dial tracking. You will have to drop the front panel to get to it.

Hi guys,
I have a really nice 930s (6 million plus) serial # and have noticed
lately that the VFO acts a little weird. If I turn the VFO KNOB
slowly, sometimes the freq. will not change, and sometimes the freq.
will oscillate back and forth like... .13 .14 .13 .14 .13
and so on. Has anyone seen this happen before. I have tried it with
the 10 Hz mod and without...it doesn't make any difference..
