[Kenwood] TS-950SDX production dates

Hi Ron and Larry -- I pulled this info from previous posts regarding
TS-950SDX. Looks as Bill K4SGF with a unit made November 1998 is the newest
production unit posted to this reflector in the past.

Mine is an Oct 1997 -- 91000001

X-2 = last digit of the year
YY = Production Month
ZZZZZ = sequence in production for that month

So Kenny yours 0040007 would have been the 7th unit to be produced in April
of
1998  ( the 950SDX wasn't in production in 1988). I'm told that this applies
to all Kenwood rdaios manufactured in at least the last 20 years maybe
longer
I wonder what the last official serial number was for the 950SDX? Mine is a
00900014. Anybody out there with a newer one?

      Yes, they were. I have serial # 00700004 which should be July 1998. I
think the SDX's started in 1992, and they evidently were produced into
1998--maybe later--Let's see who comes up with the latest serial number.
