[Kenwood] TS-940SAT RX AUDIO Issue

Most likely, the problem is in the audio Amplifier stage.

I would start by plugging in some Headsets and if it is still distorted, If
the audio is OK, check your speaker and external speaker connection plug.
If the problem is still present, look at IC15 (Audio Amplifier) on the
control board. Check the voltages and compare them with the service manual
schematic voltages.

Subject: [Kenwood] TS-940SAT RX AUDIO Issue

Field Day weekend I did a bad thing, I was bragging about the excellent
performance of my TS-940SAT , then I go home and it was one of those AHHHH
CRAP!!!!! situations.

The RX has developed a problem that I can only describe as a "whap whap"
sound ( when listening to CW ) and a severe distortion on SSB. The CW dit's
and dahs are whap whaaaap sound ( if this makes any sense , if not someone
may at least get a laugh from it)

Any clue where to start??

All other functions seem just fine

Thanks,
