[Kenwood] TS-2000 and WinCT

Hello all,
I am trying to get Win CT logging program to work with my 2000. When 
I change bands on the laptop, the radio follows as it should. When I 
change bands on the radio, the laptop does not  follow. Has anyone had 
this symptom before and what if any is the fix. I need this for field 
day logging.

I read on the K1EA site that the Kenwoods have an auto information 
setting (on/off). If this is set to off, the affects would be as 
noted above. Does anyone know where in the menus I can find this 
setting if there is such an animal.  I called Kenwood but their tech said there was no info setting.
