[Kenwood] Sherwood Engineering and DSP

FYI: I have an IC-706MkIIG, a TS-440s and a TS-530s. I have observed for 
some time that the 530 is the quietest, then the 440, then the 706. 
Especially on 40m and 75m. All at the home QTH, and all with the same 
antenna system. My old ears struggle with both DSP and QRN, and if 
conditions are such that it's physically uncomfortable to listen, I just 
turn it off, and read.

So, I use the 706 to scout around, and then turn to one of the Kenwoods, 
depending on how lazy I am. I figured that I just didn't understand how 
to "properly" set up the DSP, and that all the rave reviews had to be 
right. I'm glad to know that my ears were more discerning than my brain. \

Anyway, DSP sounds like a bunch of insane gremlins mumbling in the 
background to me - gives me the willies to hear it.
