Interesting.  I assume that they collaborated on the design and it is
being manufactured by a third party.  Kind of like table saws.  Delta,
Jet and several others all come out of a single factory in Taiwan. 
Outside, they look different, but a look inside shows that the castings
and most of the internal parts are identical.  I guess this was bound to
happen for the lower cost Amateur market.  You never know now that the
JVC/Kenwood merger is underway, we may see a lot more "outsourcing" of
high volume items.  I wouldn't be surprised to see this rig out under
other brand names like Radio Shack or Uniden as well!
