[Kenwood] 930 auto tuner problems

GM Kirk,

My 930 has exhibited the same problem you describe on at least two 
occasions.  I seldom use the rig, but it seems the problem shows up 
after a long layoff.  Both times I resorted to loosening, then 
re-torquing every screw I could find.  Then, "erercise" as many 
connectors as possible.  For whatever reason, the tuner behaves nicely.

In the auto position, the tuner hunts and never tunes to a low swr. In 
the
thru position, the radio will read the swr of the antenna and I have 4
different antennas.

The tuner worked correctly the last time I used the radio.

Any suggestions on where to look for a problem?
