[Kenwood] Needed: CLEAN Schematic for TS-130S;
and Wrong Band Display

I have yet to find any GOOD copies of the TS130S' schematic on the web;
all the published ones seem to be from one of two "masters" that were
scanned at relatively-low resolution or something. It's making it hard for
me to read some component values while troubleshooting my 130. And I have
yet to find an original 130 manual, Operator's or Service, anywhere.
Anyone have an original manual with schematic for which I can get a good
copy??
In other news: I bought this 130S from xXxx a month or more back. It seems
complete other than the band selector switch knob and bottom cover. Anyone
have extras of either??
While working on it last night, I discovered, first, that the AF GEN board
has LOTS of bad solder joints from transistors, voltage regulators or
interconnecting headers whose pins have pulled out of the solder on the
board. Initially, the radio showed no output from the 5V regulator nor
output audio. After resoldering a number of pins I realized were loose in
their solder blobs, it's now got 5V and 9V again and there's audio, too.
The radio is still on the wrong band, though; it shows the 24 MHz band
with the bandswitch on 7 MHz. I also found R88 on the PLL board cut with a
pair of wires soldered to the cut leads and the ends of the wires were
just laying there, no idea what they were for. Was there some modification
that put the radio on other frequencies involving R88?? I'll get back to
hunting down the cause of the incorrect band display tonight.....
Thanks,
Steve K0XP
