[Kenwood] Scan mod for Kenwood R-5000

Does anyone have the mod to change the scan type from a time operated to a 
carrier operated type on the Kenwood R-5000?? It says is in the manual that 
there is a mod for this, but I haven't been able to find it on any of the 
regular mod sites. Or is there a way to add delay time to the time operated 
scan mode? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
