[Kenwood] TS 870 SWR Indicator Problem

Carl,

I'm confused about your statement that "On receive the SWR indicates a
steady 3/4 scale".  On "receive" you are seeing a SWR reading?  Is it
possible you are actually reading the "S" meter and your RF gain
control is not set for maximum?

As for actual SWR, have you checked using an external meter?
