[Kenwood] Going prices for TS 850SAT

Mike,

     I have been keeping track of eBay prices for rigs over the past 6
months or so.  There have been 43 TS-850SAT's sold.  The highest price was
$985.00, the lowest price was $550.00.  Typical sale included radio, mic,
manual, powercord.  The average selling price was $681.00.  Believe it or
not, there was no significant difference in the $550.00 radio and the
$985.00 radio (according to the descriptions).  I have noticed this
variation in prices on just about all the models I follow.  The only radios
that do not show this type of price variation are the newer rigs, such as
the Icom 706MKIIG, Yaesu FT-857D, etc.  These usually sell in a narrow
range.  For the older radios, I guess the selling price all depends on how
many people want that particular radio on that particular day. Hope this

Anyone have any insight as to what TS 850SATs are going for these days?  I
have the rig, two 400 Hz INRAD CW filters (both 455 kHz and 8.83 MHz) and
the SP31 external speaker.  Would appreciate any guidance the group could
give.
