[Kenwood] Difference between 440 & 450

The TS450 also allows you to cascade filters at 2 different IFs for 1 mode,
and it has a digital bar meters.  I believe that it doesn't have the
reliability problems the TS440 has either.  And the 450 has a quieter
synthesizer.  I would go for the TS690 instead because it has 6 meters ( it
is a 450 with 6 added) since that is my favorite band.  I had a TS690 last
year for a little while, and I was surprised how good its receiver is.
