Thanks to all who responded..
But I have to admit that I wrote the original message too quickly this
morning and forgot to say something but said something wrong instead.
What I forgot to say was that I tried tuning a dummy load and it did the
same thing !.
I was not thinking when I said the Antenna was 1:1 I did dot realise what I
had said !. I should have said that the antenna has been tested using 2
analysers and is within the spec that the manual says the internal tuner can
tune. The antenna has also been used with other radio with internal tuners
most recently a 1000MP with no problem.
I had made sure that I was using the correct ANT socket as I would not have
heard any signals coming through HI..
I made sure that in transmit inhibit was OFF and checked the rest of the
menu whilst I was at it. I even tried a full reset!.
I used the external tuner and the radio transmitted with no problem. With
the internal tuner It will switch to transmit but no RF appears.
I am semi convinced that the internal tuner is faulty but thought I would
check with You guy's just in case I missed something. Thanks for all for
Your suggestions it was appreciated.
Regards
