[Kenwood] TS950S SSB slope problem

Hi All,

I have a TS950S that an old HAM asked me to sell for him.
But while cleaning and testing it, i noticed that when the SSB SLOPE/TUNE (HIGH)
is turned fully clockwise, there is a small "instability", the sound is
distorted.

When i turn it a bit counter clockwise, the sound is normal. When i lift the pot
a bit, the problem sometimes dissapears...

So it looks like a mechanical problem in the pot or coder that is behind..
Can anyone confirm this or is it a DDS problem ?

ps: i notices that this sometimes happens on my own TS850SAT
