[Kenwood] The 'problem' is probably faulty research

I'm not an expert on the 940 by any stretch of the imagination.  But I did 
repair one some years ago that had several 3rd party mods installed.

One of the mods was a crowbar circuit on the +24V supply I believe.  The 
reason for the mod was that if the +24 regulator failed, it would take out 
the finals.  Maybe that's what was meant by power supply problems?

I do know that the power supply has a very low resistance resistor in the 
regulator circuit which is no longer available from Kenwood.  I tried to 
repair a supply with a substitute without success.  I was fortunate enough 
to get one from someone here on the reflector who had a parts rig he was 
cannibalizing.
