[Kenwood] TS-570D to ALS-600S

Anybody out there have experience with this combination? I've been 
trying to set up an auto-tune station for a disabled ham friend, and am 
having trouble getting the  pieces to work together. I also have MFJ's 
Intellituner + interface, which when tuned shows an acceptable SWR 
(<2:1). Yet the amp keeps tripping off. The antenna is a G5RV, so I 
suspect RFI in the shack. Any other ideas? Thanks.
