[Kenwood] Req clarification re: SM-220 W/BS-8

Hi,
Finally decided to hook up a SM-220 w/BS-8 to my
TS-940S and reading the manuals it seems to say
that for the 940 I would need the BS-5???  Finally
get around to hooking it up and can't??  Could 
someone clarify this for me please, and if this is
true - standby for it to be up for sale. It is in mint
condition and have the cables and additional grid
plate for it.  Appreciate it and again thanks.
