[Kenwood] DSP Speakers/Aftermarket products

Hi Rick:
    I have the original Clear Speech speaker as well as the Gap dsp 
module and have done a lot of comparisons between the two and have found 
that there really was nothing to gain with the Gap over the Clear Speech 
except that there are a lot of controls on the Gap to set your levels in 
and out. I used to have a TS-870 and you're absolutely correct about the 
dsp in that radio to be not very effective. I have my Clear Speech 
speaker in line at all times with my regular radio which is the Yaesu 
FT-1000D. It sure makes it more pleasurable to operate with it in the 
line as it removes that annoying back ground noise.
