[Kenwood] re: ts-2000 front end burn out

It can happen to all rigs and yes, it happens to Kenwoods, too. The  
TS-2000 is no different.

Kenwood used to put "fuses" in the TS-850 that were supposed to protect 
the rig from this kind of thing. It didn't really work all that well, 
because the "fuses" popped too easily. The "fuses", which were tiny 
bulbs soldered to a circuit board were a terrific pain in the butt to 
replace.

Front-ends "burn out" because rigs are sensitive to RF energy- that's 
how you hear weak signals. Static can also cause this. The best way to 
avoid this is to unplug you antenna when you're not using the rig.
