[Kenwood] DSP-100 question

I am experiencing difficulty while using a KWD DSP-100 with a KWD TS-850. Here are the symptoms.

When I transmit (CW) with the DSP in transmit mode, there is no output
from my TS-850. If I toggle the power switch of the DSP on and off
while keying CW, sometimes there is power output, which lasts from
fractions of a second to a maximum 3-4 seconds. I verified that the
RCA phono plugs on the back of the DSP-100 are secured in place with
proper continuity. I don't see any issues with a ground loop or grounding.
The microphone isn't an issue, as I transmitted on CW with the microphone
disconnected from the TS-850. The receive mode appears to work just fine.

The following summarizes my continuity checks and voltage measurements.
There is proper continuity between the terminals on CN2 and CN3.
The measured input and output voltages of IC1 and IC2 agreed with
those on the schematic. CN2 terminals 2, 3, and 8 were verified to be at
ground potential.
The voltages measured on CN2 terminals 1, 4, and 6 agree with those on
the schematic. The voltage measured at CN2 terminal 7 was 17.1 VDC.
The value of R1 was verified to be 22 ohms, while the input and output voltages of R1 agree with the schematic.

Is there such a thing as a mode menu for "Forced ON/OFF for receiving DSP carrier"
(Menu 05) and "Forced ON/OFF for receiving DSP carrier" (Menu 06)
      on the TS-850?

I have heard that the TS-850 Service Manual mentions menu settings on
[power on + F.LOCK] menu settings #5 and #6 to enable the DSP-100 unit. I personally haven't seen the manual.

Do I possibly need to make a menu change in the TS-850?

      Cordially,
