Thanks, Mark, I appreciate the offer. Now there'll be a central clearing house for the files!

I'll send them to you under separate cover. I'm posting this to others and the reflector itself.

A Merry Christmas and Healthy and Happy New Year to you and yours!

Subject: [Kenwood] GMC/UTC Clock Inquires

QST...

Yesterday I inquired via Kenwood at mailman.qth.net if anyone knew of the
availability of a Windows-XP-compatible GMT/UTC Desktop clock. I quickly
received three responses providing different clock programs. Those who
responded did so so quickly that I commented that my asking the question
on this service was faster than "Googling!"

I then suggested that I thought it would be helpful if responses to such
broad-based inquires might benefit others in addition to the initial
inquirer by including the address of the service Kenwood at mailman.qth.net
in responses. No sooner had that suggestion been sent than several
messages began trickling in asking for the information I'd received;
most petitioners asked politely, a couple of others were abrupt and took
me to task for not following my own suggestion regarding posting and
providing that information myself by including URLs that I didn't have.

I sent replies to several people and in an attempt to make the .Zip
files generally available, I included Kenwood at mailman.qth.net as an
addressee. Unfortunately, Kenwood at mailman.qth.net does not accept
attachments, so that method won't work.

If someone is willing to post the three .Zip files I received at a site
from which they can be download by other interested parties, we could
all benefit from that. That way all the files will be centrally located.
My e-mail system is so sluggish when it comes to making attachments it's
overbearingly time consuming.

73,

Paul / N1FB
