I don't think they have a number, other than the Kenwood part number.  
The Kenwood part is *B30-0835-08 and are about $4 each from East Coast 
Parts. * They're wire lead bulbs, clear with a slip on green silicone 
sleeve, I think 10V at 60 mA.  The sleeves can be reused.  Radio Shack 
used to have 12V bulbs that would fit, but they were a little dim and 
faded toward the center of the display.  Some have replaced them with 
LEDs, but LEDs put most of their light out the "end" while this 
application uses light out the "side" of the lamp.  I understand that 
"sanding" the sides of the LED will rough it up to allow some diffuse 
light out the side, but have never tried it.

They're not very difficult to replace, they just mount in holes through 
the PC board on the back of the display unit and the leads solder to 
pads on either side of the hole.
