[Kenwood] Kenwood TS-450SAT problem

Hello

I have a TS-450SAT I'm having a bit of a problem with and was  hoping if I
might get some info here.

It works fine on RTTY and SSB, but when sending CW, it clips the first part
off what I am sending.  And it sounds kinda choppy.  W7WHY comes out as
M7WHY.  I've checked the manual and can't see where there is any adjustment
to turn it on quicker.  The sidetone works fine, just the transmitter comes
on just a fraction of a second after it has started sending.  Thanks and 73.
