[Kenwood] ts 570 fails to power up

Maybe he doesn't know the difference between a dent and a scratch. I hope it's not very a big dent, or that maybe you can fix it somehow.

I bought a TS-870S a few months ago that was advertised as "mint", both cosmetically and electrically. Well it worked fine, but there was a large scratch on the top of the front panel that didn't show in the pictures. I tried to rub it out but just made things worse, so I ordered a new front panel for about $50, and now it looks great after installing it. When I told him about it, he simply said "sorry about that" and didn't think the scratch was a big deal. I think if I had been the seller I would have offered to pay for the new panel.

I don't think your attitude is wrong about telling someone to send a rig back if it's dead. You sound like an honest guy to do business with.

He advertised it as working 100% and like new cosmetically except for one
scratch.

He could be telling the truth, and from his perspective I am a scammer.

It came dead and with a dent, although his pictures were take so that the
dent wouldn't appear IF IT WAS THERE. Could be a coincidence, maybe.

I guess my attitude is wrong. If I send you a rig and it is dead, I'll
tell you to send it back. I've done it before.

All I aske the guy in my emails was if it had the dent, and if he had the
condition before or had any idea....I wasn't inflammatory at all.

No problem.

I'll get it fixed, plus Paypal has contacted him now.
