[Kenwood] TS-830S Query

Yep, I was looking the RF choke that hangs off the output of the pi
network not the one carrying the HV to the 6146's. Anyway, since I have
"manual" access, I check 530, 520(all variations), 510, 900, and even
Yaesu FT-101ZD(also uses pair of 6146's). None of them list the actual
value of the choke. I don't have my ARRL Handbook handy, but I seem to
remember a section in some back copy, using a formula to compute what
inductance should be used, given plate impedance, frequencies, etc. Web
has lots of info on plate chokes. Surplus Sales has several different
varieties for sale. Of course, someone could take one out of their rig
and measure the inductance. Looking back into some of the Heath rigs that
used a pair of 6146's, the typical choke value was 1 MH at 500ma.
