It's because "Kenwood Corporation" and "Kenwood Parts" (as well as Kenwood
Service "East" and "West") are seperate companies.  The only relationship is
in the name.  Kenwood Corp. sells new products and has no inventory
information for any non-current (aka discontinued) "parts".  "Kenwood Parts"
sells parts for Kenwood products (new and old).

Same goes for both "Service" companies (East and West). Kenwood spun them
off as independent companies a decade or so ago...no longer divisions of the
Kenwood Corporation.

Just info I picked up while getting things serviced at the "West" service
center years ago - one month they were part of Kenwood, the next, they were
"independent".
