> modifications and not use it?" Well, I want aske the group to be honest with themselves. How many of you can honestly say that you do not own ham gear that will TX out of legal band? I know I do, does that mean I am talking out of band? I know I have an HT that will TX in the FRS, GMRS, Commercial UHF band, and a mobile that will do everything VHF and UHF and an HF mobile that I use as a base that will do everything between 1.8 to 29.999. That in no way means that I TX in those areas. There are even some radios that were manufactured before there were those lockout restrictions. Just because it is owned doesn't mean they will be used for that purpose.
