[Kenwood] Operating the TS-480HX with an external tuner

The TS-480 manual states that when the TS-480HX is used with an external
tuner such as the AT-300 its output is automatically limited to 100
watts.  Is this still the case with other tuners with compatible
interfaces such as LDG, MFJ, etc., that are fully capable of operating
at 200 watts?  Is there any way to defeat this feature?
