You could try connecting a shielded cable between the vertical input
(front panel) of the SM-220 and the ACC2 connector of the 870, hot lead
to pin 3 Aud. Out/PKT.OUT and shield to Pin 4 Grd. It the level is too
low, you can adjust it from the menu. Probably not as good as coming
directly off the last IF Amplifier but you should be able to get some
audio dance on the screen when you tune in stations.
