Just looking at the schematic, it looks to me like the schematic is 
wrong.  The schematic circuit would give a slow attack, fast release 
AGC.   C126 charging slowly through 2.2M, and discharging quickly 
through 150k.   It should be the other way around, i.e., charge quickly 
through 150k, then discharge slowly through the 2.2M.

I'm beginning to agree with Kenwood, it's been working for 17 years, 
it's probably right as implemented.  Regardless of documentation errors.
