[Kenwood] ??MISSING BUTTON TEXT??

HI ALL.
          I have the TS570D and i was wondering, How to stop my button text from erasing with use.
I was thinking of possably using nail varnish but was not sure if it was safe to apply, wonder if anyone has coated there rig buttons ? and what did you use?

I was told last autumn that Kenwood would not be making anymore ham radios, but only took it with a pinch of salt.

Still looking for an on/of switch for my BO9
