[Kenwood] Discussion With Kenwood Rep Regarding Future HF Rigs

I like the looks of the 870, but it lacks dual
receive, which really helps in pileups.  The TS950SDX
looks great, but it is a little big for my current
setup.

What I meant by my "Obsolete" statment earlier was
that that Kenwood is going to stay with their current
technology, at least for another 2 years, whereas Icom
and Yaesu are moving forward.  Don't know about Ten
Tec since I don't follow them very closely, but the
Orion sure looks nice.  2 years can make a big
difference in today's world of electronics.
It might be hard to make up what was lost in those 2
years if and when Kenwood does come back to R and D in
the amateur market.
