[Kenwood] Tuner and power output

I recently purchased a used Kenwood TS2000 (delivered
Monday) from a ham dealer that does have a 90 day
warranty on used equipment.  It is the second TS2000 I
have owned.  Using both a dummy load and antennas, the
rig is putting out 100 watts, as measured by an
external wattmeter (using FSK or FM to produce a
carrier).  However, when I put the internal tuner in
line, the power drops on some bands-to maybe 80 watts
or so.  I didn't have an external meter when I owned
my previous TS2000 so I can't comment on what happed
with that one.  And I have had a couple of other
radios with internal tuners (Icom 756 and Icom 746)
and never noticed the power lowering with the tuner at
all.

So is this normal for the TS2000, or may there be
something going bad in the tuner?  If it is a tuner
problem-any ideas as to what is going wrong?  If it is
bad, I want to get it fixed before the warranty
expires.
