[Kenwood] Birdie on 50.125

The same is true of  televisions, too .. the power supply stays "hot", even 
though the set is "off" .. else the remote control could not turn it "on" 
!!!!   I chased this problem for a couple hours, it was in the spare (guest) 
bedroom, an older model that works swell.... but ...     ..... it has to be 
unplugged, or HF operation is in the dipsty dumpster.  Lots of today's 
appliances have the power supply on even when the item is not in use... a 
word to the wise!
