[Kenwood] CW Outdated Mode?

I use the Novice subbands and have many enjoyable QSOs there.

A couple of years ago a Cuban Ham, using a CW only rig, saved his XYL by
using the Novice subbands. During Hurricane Georges, his contact with a Ham
in Texas provided help via the Red Cross.

The Novice subbands are not limited to CW-all digital modes are allowed
there. I'd rather see expanded use of digital modes over antiquated SSB.
