[Kenwood] CW Outdated Mode?

Do you have any more information on how many hams use CW vs other 
modes?  I didn't know that there were fewer operating CW, it would be 
interesting to see the data on that.  It "seems" that on "off times" 
there is very little activity, but when a contest comes up it sounds 
like "more" CW than I was used to 25 years ago!  I am very curious 
about this.
