Refarm the sub-bands?  Apparently some don't (can't) listen to the 
"bottom 25"..... Listen to the CW sub-bands during a contest, when 
dxpeditions are active, or when the bands are open.  And for the rest of 
the year, us "die-hards" will still be found there.  If side-banders (or 
whatever mode you have patience for) want more room, turn the gain down, 
and invest in filters and decent radios.  Many people find a "lack of 
time" to spend enjoying many types of past-times, including ALL MODES 
of  amateur radio.  I still don't know what the "lack of patience" for 
CW is about,  unless there is a lack of proficiency using it.......

So, as long as we're voicing personal opinions regarding CW requirements:

My opinion is: the reduction of the code requirement to 5wpm for an 
EXTRA is a travesty.  It is painfully apparent in pile-ups, contests, 
etc. when the hunted station is sending up, call areas or continents, or 
calling an "individual" callsign.... yet the new 1x2's, 2x1's, whatever 
keep calling..... because they lack the proficiency to copy the code, or 
their "software" is not up to the task.  If you don't like CW ....fine.  
Don't force your likes on the CW crowd....... We'd be happy to have the 
bands refarmed..... in a way none-CW folk would not be in favor of.  
Also, keep in mind, CW is a permissible mode throughout the spectrum.  
If/or when the Morse requirement is entirely dropped, it will be a sad 
day for the hobby..... Then the FCC might as well drop ANY testing 
requirement..... merely fill out a coupon on a box of cereal and mail it 
in to General Mills.... your license should be received in the mail in 4 
-6  weeks!
