[Kenwood] Question abt TS-850

Brian,

I have an Astron VS-35M power supply, and it can handle my 100 watt FT-847
without a hiccup, although I prefer to run it on a 35 amp switching power
supply. Your 50-amp power supply has more than enough capacity for a 100
watt rig.

Assuming your VS-50M is operating properly, make sure that the current limit
control is turned full clockwise- otherwise, the supply will start lowering
the supply voltage as soon as the current limit setting is reached.

Subject: [Kenwood] Question abt TS-850

Hopefully this is a simple question.
Would anybody who might own a 850 on the list here see any problems why a
Astron VS-50m power supply would not supply the proper amps to make the 850
run @ 100 watts.

Brian
