If you're your friend's new Kenwood TS-2000 audio is low on VHF/UHF and all
the menu settings are maxed out I would send it back and have it looked at
before the warranty runs out. I have a Kenwood TS-2000 and I didn't touch
any of the menu settings and I get good audio reports. All the menu settings
on my radio at set at factory default.

Subject: [Kenwood] TS-2000

A friend of mine just bought a brand new TS-2000 and the audio seems very
low on 2 meter FM. He has a TM-232 that is least twice as loud as the new
2000. Is this a normal trait or is his defective? Yes mic gain is full and
proc amp is on. thanks
