Hi, Hope this thread ends soon, Even if one was to use non ham service to call for help, what are the chances of being ignored and taken as prank or joke ? I don't want to take that chance. Cutting a blue wire or diode removal will alter the function of the onboard processor(s), thus, result in reporgramming of the radio. 73 jim
