[Kenwood] TS-700 / TM-731A

Several things. TS-700 has no tone encoder, so if you work repeaters that
require tone access, one would have to be added. TS-700 and 700S only
have repeater access between 146 and 148 MHz and limited offset. It's not
a bad SSB/CW rig. AM sounds terrible with it. I seem to remember some
power supply board issues with the 700. Amplified D-104, Turner +2, +3,
and a variety of CB 4 pin (Kenwood 4 pin style) microphones will work
with this rig. I wouldn't invest a lot of money in one of these rigs.
Going from the TM-731 to the TS-700 is like taking a step backward
depending on what you are going to do with it.
