Hans, you may find the hint at the TM-255 Yahoo group
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tm255/ . If I remember the solution for this
problem was discussed there.

Subject: [Kenwood] faulty TM-455E 70cm trx

Hello group,

I have an intermittent fault in my TM455E. Maybe someone of you has met the
same problem.
The case is that sometimes when I push the powerbuttom to switch it on, it
does not.
Sometimes the trx does switch on. This happens 50% of all cases.

I checked voltage from powersupply to the rig, also fuse and fuseholder. So
far so good.

When the trx is on and I switch it off with the powersupply and than try to
switch it on again by pushing the powerbutton, the rig does NOT switch on.

This means possibly that it is not the powerbutton which is faulty.

Anybody else had this effect and how solved?

Thanks in advance.
