[Kenwood] TS 2000 problem???

Don't know if I have something programed wrong or I have a problem.

Here is what is happening.

VFO A setup for 50.125  or any HF frequency  mode SSB 

VFO B setup for 144.200 mode SSB

When changing from VFO A to VFO B  every thing is fine "until" I start to tune to 
a different frequency, then the rig goes in to the FM mode and I have to push the
USB LSB button to get back on SSB.

Anyone out there have an idea how to correct this.
