[Kenwood] TH7 Help

A friend has a TH7 (UK model) which he has just got having recently got his license. I set it up for him today but noticed that the display showed the mode, In this case FM, was flashing. I looked through the manual many times to find out why, to no avail..
 The radio work fine apart from this..
 
 Any ideas anyone??
 
 Also I'm staill awaiting any help on getting my TS-850 to tx on the new UK part on 7Mhz, I need to know how to convert it to the region 2/3 spec.. Not general coverage TX !!
